The 校园犯罪热线 (605.274.5000) provides students, 教职员工 with an avenue to anonymously report criminal activity on or around campus. Callers can leave information anonymously or leave their name 和 contact information for officers to follow up.

If you have information related to a crime that occurred off campus, the Department of 校园安全 works closely with the Sioux Falls Police Department (SFPD), or provide a tip to Crime Stoppers of the Sioux Empire at 605.367.7007.

Several Emergency Assistance 电话s are located throughout Augustana University's campus. To dial the Augustana Department of 校园安全 Dispatch & Security Center 和 activate a blue strobe light, press the phone’s “emergency” button. A campus safety officer will respond, even if nothing is communicated to the dispatcher. The emergency button should only be used for actual or perceived emergency situations.

Local calls can be made on the emergency phones using the black “call” button, but others nearby will be able to hear your conversation. In the unlikely event there is an emergency phone malfunction, contact the AU Department of 校园安全.
 

The Augustana Department of 校园安全 acts as a first responder for medical emergencies on campus. Medical emergencies on campus are also h和led by Sioux Falls Fire Rescue (SFFR) 和 PatientCare EMS Solutions — an ambulance service.

Augustana 校园安全 officers are trained in 心肺复苏, the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) 和 basic first-responder first aid. The AU Department of 校园安全 maintains the AEDs located around campus 和, in cooperation with the AU’s employee health educator, sponsors several 心肺复苏/AED classes throughout the calendar year for students, 教职员工.

Augustana publishes an annual report outlining security 和 fire safety information, along with student housing fire 和 crime statistics for campus. A printed copy of this report is available at the AU Department of 校园安全 in the Morrison Commons.

学生, 教职员工 who need a jumpstart for their vehicle battery may call the Augustana Department of 校园安全 24 hours a day.

A personal protection escort service is available to students, 教职员工 24 hours a day. Escorts are not to be used for convenience purposes, but to enable the campus community to travel on campus 和 within the campus neighborhood with a greater sense of security.
